What is 5-EAPB?
5-EAPB or (1-(benzofuran-5-yl)-N-ethylpropan-2-amine is the latest replacement for the recently banned APB series of the compound. Amongst those prohibited within the UK temporary class drug order were 5-MAPB, 5-APB, 6-APB, and 6-MAPB. Chemically, 5-EAPB is the N-ethyl derivative of the popular 5-APB which was reported to act as a stimulant amphetamine-like entactogen. 5-APB supposedly acted upon the 5HT2C receptor as an agonist as well as having a triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor action. To date, very little research has been conducted on this novel fine chemical, so it offers a fantastic opportunity for the study of n-ethyl APB derivatives.
What is 5-EAPB used for?
As a derivative of 5 APB, it is most appropriate to assume a similar action upon receptors, as such, research should be conducted in vitro (outside living organism) upon the relevant predicted receptor groups; serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Full ligand binding assays should be conducted, as well as melting and boiling point analysis.
5 EAPB may be used as a reference sample for GC/MS, FTIR, HPLC or NMR analysis for addition into a chemistry library of novel fine chemicals, or to be used by toxicologists and forensic scientists. 5-EAPB may also be used as a reagent for chemical testing.
Please note: for those wishing to purchase our 5-EAPB pellets are made a pre-weighed pellet form, to avoid accidental spillage and inhalation. Each pellet contains 125mg 5-EAPB for in vitro use only. Each pellet also contains standard binding and flowing agents such as Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate and Dicalcium Phosphate.
